Christmas is coming...
and the wreaths are running out! Thank you to everyone who has kindly purchased my yarn work! I've had so much fun making them but now I need to concentrate on a painting commission that a verrry patient customer has been waiting on for a sweet eternity. Sadly, I won't have time to make any new pieces but there are still a few of my favorites left- see below! There are still a few days left for ground shipping if you live in the midwest- east coast! Happy Holidays! xoxo

The Curious Sofa
One of my favorite shops in Kansas City is The Curious Sofa. Inspired owner, Debbie Dusenberry keeps an online diary which helps folks like me get a glimpse of all the Curious goodness going on oh, so many miles away. Well, it seems her magical home has made it to the cover of the current Country Living magazine, and if you want to hear all, and I mean all about it, visit her blog, The Curious Sofa Diaries. Debbie is so funny and open- she doesn't mind telling everyone that she completely transformed her home for the shoot. From a new exterior paint job to new kitchen counters, this style maven reveals all the crazy tidbits most stylists won't tell you go on behind the scenes of the 'picture perfect' rooms you see in magazines. I am most in love with her kitchen. I love the the opulent chandelier mixed with the distressed wall treatments and the clean white vintage appliances. I love the coziness of small homes. My dream house is a small house. Less to clean and you're forced to pair down to those essential pieces you really truly love. Or in Debbie's case, you just swap it out for something else and sell the piece in your dazzling shop!

Alabama Chanin and Alabama Studio Style
Today I came across the website for Alabama Chanin and her Alabama Studio Web-shop and journal. So much to see and do there! Visit her sites to find out about Alabama and all the amazing work she is up to. There is much homespun-southern inspiration to be found under the Projects, Tips, and Treats section of the journal. I love her jewelry that mixes fabric or stitching with gold vermeil. If Santa brought me a million dollars I'd be first in line for one of her reclaimed quilts or chandeliers! They are all exquisite! She has a new book coming out too- see here.

Scandinavian Christmas Design
Here are some photographs from a favorite article that appeared in Veranda magazine about 5 years ago. I think its just as fresh today! It is the home of designer, Leif Sigerson who has since opened Butik in New York's West Village with Helena Christensen. See the Butik website for more of his amazing vision.

Here are some new creations- Art& Found Nests! I made the nests from yarn and glue wrapped around a balloon. Verrryyy messy. I love them paired with the birch rounds- a big thanks to my parent's neighbor, Farmer Taylor for cutting them for me! xo
