The work of Marisa Haedike (Creative Thursday) is so sweet and special and reminds me of the good feelings of family and friends that go along with the holidays! Lots of love xoxo, Katie

Have you met the Beerhorst Family?

I had made several sightings around Flickr and Etsy and finally today took the time to investigate the talented folks behind all the magic! I'm writing this Sunday night-anticipating a two-day car ride with my best friend and her kids tomorrow....jingle all the way to Indianapolis! Wish us luck and safety! So- in my haste to get my packing done...I'm afraid I don't have the time I'd like to devote to the enchanting Beerhorst Family...so here is all their info and in their own words:
We are an artist family of eight working in various media, painting, wood cut prints, textile arts, and soft sculptures. We are urban homesteading in downtown Grand Rapids Michigan with back yard chickens and a large organic garden. We support ourselves entirely by the art we make and sell, parents and children working together. Visit us at {website} {blog}, {Flickr} {Etsy} Please Enjoy and See you back here Wednesday! xo

Holiday Festoonery from around the web!

So many of my favorite artists and bloggers are dolling up their homes in the most creative and original ways this season...and thanks to Flickr and blogs we are able to share in their holiday "glee" as sweet Dottie Angel calls it! Here are some that have me swooning...wish I could climb in and admire the pretties in person! xox

Dottie Angel's 'Whatnot' Tree thrills
me to no end!!

I think Janice has one of the most inspiring blogs
out there for diy craft ideas and of course, her supply shop
is stellar! Her bottle-brush table centerpiece is simply perfect!

Andrea from Hula Seventy decorated her mantle with
her typical Hula Girl candy colors! (Ok-this was last year-but
its too good to leave out!)

More Christmas past from Girl Hula!

Then there are these precious scenes from
the cozy holiday home of Mr. and Mrs. Nielson.

Thankfully NieNie reminds me of the most
important Christmas blessings!
Have you also been following the most inspiring
family of 2009. They are my heroes! xo

Annamaria Potamiti

I found the charming narrative paintings and collages of Annamaria Potamiti while scouring Flickr the other day. She's an artist and mom living and working in Vancouver and a graduate of the Ontario College of Art. I was immediately taken by her folksy, free, and storied-almost journal-entry-like style. She sells some originals and high quality prints of her collages in her Etsy shop! Visit her blog too! xo

Beauty Everyday!

I'm getting pretty cheeky over all the generous kudos recently from my favorite artists and bloggers! Today it is a huge compliment to be kindly featured by the talented Kristen Bach (whose InCrediBle home I completely covet-remember it on D*S??) at Beauty Everyday...see here. Thank you, Kristen!! xoxo
Beauty Everyday is brought to you by the group of talented artists, including Kristen, and fellow artist magicians at R. Wood Studio...my all-time favorite ceramic studio located in Athens, Ga! Did you know they have any Etsy shop for their other creative endeavors too? The swell bunting pictured above is available there! xoxo

John Bell {revisited}

My friend Pamela has alerted me to Sweet Home Furnishing's new, few, and rare found object assemblages by Little Rock artist, John Bell. Unless he's featured in a gallery show or museum, I do believe SHF is the only shop that represents him! Sweet Home Furnishings incredible shop is also in Little Rock, Arkansas. Call them at 501.296.9198 to inquire about any of John's pieces below! xo
i love this piece so much it hurts!
