I made one very important stop during my short visit to Fayetteville-and that was to see Pam Pemberton and her amazing floral-wonder shop, Flora. Flora sits tucked away in a postage-stamp sweet brick cottage right off the downtown Fayetteville square. Visit Flora's online gallery to view Pam's incredible portfolio! My blurry photos on this hot July afternoon are unworthy! Many of you will remember Pam P. from hi Lines- the legendary boutique she ran for years (how many was it??). Pam's aesthetic has always been clean, organic, homespun, eclectic, and unwavering in its rich neutral palette. About twenty years ago, she introduced our small town to some amazing designers- like J. Morgan Puett, Dosa, Jeanne Engleheart of Flax, CP Shades, Margaret O'Leary, Krista Larson, D.A.R., Vivienne Tam, Beth Orduna, Kara Varian Baker. hi Lines left a lifetime of inspiration in the hearts of all those who remember its magic! Thank you for your inspiration, Pam! (And thanks for giving me a job years ago- when you really didn't need an extra (young and inexperienced) salesperson! Best Wishes for your continued success! xoxo **thank you to Amy Zurcher (my senior sales associate @ hi lines who I was fortunate to meet working saturdays at Pam's!) for her help in recalling favorite labels!!

My mentor- A mad genius that brings beauty to all she touches! Thank you for this blogging about the incredible Pam Pemberton! Such sweet and funny memories. Oh how much she taught us both. You are as pretty as a picture with her in the shop!
XO,
Amy Z.
um, could I move in? What an enchanting place. Congratulations on the poppytalk/market, I always love all the different artists she features.
wish there were two Pam Pembertons......one to dress us simply and elegantly and one to fill our spaces with her pretty posies. Both of these super talented girls have brought sunshine into our lives....
Hey there! Kathleen Day here! I used to save every dime that Bonnie Runnels paid me doing odd jobs to shop at HiLines. (And Bonnie and Katie aren't so shabby in the taste department themselves!)
