Signe and Genna Grushovenko

I was introduced to the collaborative paintings between husband and wife, Signe and Genna Grushovenko thanks to a reader tip from Robin K. (thank you, kindly!) Genna creates an underpainting with washes of paint and mineral spirits over which Signe paints her compositions. Signe uses vintage family and found photographs for her subjects while using a color block-style effect that simplifies these richly layered pieces into modern treasures. Read all about them and find the works I've posted here at this site-www.galleryair.com/signe.htm xo

I have seen these in person and they were fantastic. They said they would even take an old family photo and do a portrait for you if you wanted them to.

Pretty cool!
