Wendeline Matson-New Works

I have been trying to get back into painting mode-and no paintings excite me more about the process than the wonderfully layered impasto paintings of Wendeline Matson! As fate would have it-she will be attending her work at a reception in Tulsa, Oklahoma this Thursday the 19th at M.A. Doran Gallery, 5-8pm. I wish I could blink and be there. Wendy is a truly magical person! Her work was recently featured in a huge spread in Southwest Art magazine- to view click here. I love the cakes!

Thank for introducing me to her work! I love the bike painting. I've been attempting to paint a bike and now know I need to try no more and just buy one of these! Oh happy art.
