My list of must-stop shops to visit when I finally make it out of this state is growing at a rapid pace! Would you believe I've never been to Tinsel Trading Co.?! I think that for a found-object-nest-builder like myself-its kind of like a sacred pilgrimage that must be made (ok, not really)...but you know what I mean?! I do about 99% of my supply shopping online-hence my long list of favorite suppliers down there on the right. And I still cruise Ebay and the internet like a fool. However, knowing that there are emporiums out there like Tinsel Trading...and this one in Paris- Tombées du Camion-simply makes my heart hurt knowing that I...can't....get....there.....anytime soon, that is! This shop is chock full of odd little found things in large quantities- just like its name describes- "things fallen off the truck" Their website is set up in a manner similar to the way the proprietor so carefully and artfully arranges his wares...see for yourself! xoxo

Monica Cook at Marcia Wood Gallery

I'm kicking myself for not remembering to post this earlier!  Tonight was the opening for Monica Cook's new exhibition at Marcia Wood Gallery in Atlanta. The show, Seeded and Soiled will be up through November 28. I gathered a small but telling quote from Monica from the Gallery's website:

“{the figures} wrestle with debauchery and virtue, control and liberation, logic and absurdity – the beauty and repulsion inherent in each of these extremes and the magnificent struggle in our search for balance”.

Oh, Buttermilk Sky!

My sister and I love to sing that old darned catchy song together! They always play it on the "golden oldies" station in our hometown around Christmas! I found the incredible notion shop, Buttermilk Sky- thanks to the fantastic blog from Cafe Cartolina this morning(found thanks to Kara!). She has some wonderful vintage buttons, baubles and beads sorted into the prettiest little collections for sale! I have spent some time this morning just window shopping her beautifully styled photos!  I do believe that song is going to be in my head for the rest of the day-you can thank me later! McMaster & Storm...Sale and New Blog!

My dear friends Kara and Darcy, proprietors of McMaster & Storm are having a Huge Studio Sale today and tomorrow in Ohio! They are clearing out odds and ends from their former brick-and-mortar shop-including some store props!! Read more about it on their shiny new blog-which they kindly allowed me to refashion for them! They wanted a theater-esque and antique department store theme which was incredibly fun to piece together! This is my first entire blog re-do...and I can't thank them enough for placing their trust and faith in me! I learned so much and I'm ready to take on more projects! xo

We've all seen her peeking out from the pages of Etsy from under those dark bowl cut bangs. Its a cool rainy morning here and the sight of her oversized knit hat on the front page looked so inviting, I simply had to spread the love of Yokoo here today! I love this artist for the extreme lengths she goes to in styling herself for her product shots. I don't know her but I'm pretty sure her everyday look is just as specatacular- or rather this is her everyday style! And, hello? Who among us can resist a grand pom-pom or yarn glasses?
