Winter Nest Assemblage 2007I've always been enamored with the idea of licensing a few pieces of work to be manufactured for a wider audience. While I'm not keen on the idea of my work being mass produced overseas...I'm AlwaYs looking for a way to help myself financially-or rather not be totally stressed and strapped! I figure letting a few pieces go for the sake of being able to continue with my artwork wasn't "selling out" to me. I also can no longer afford to create the small ornament type items that I so love to spend hours of time on! I finally had an opportunity arise where a large collectibles company was interested...I created a Winter Wonderland series of ornaments and assemblages that you see here. However, after three years of waiting, contracts signed and broken, hopes up and down, I can finally share with you what I was working on. The most incredible aspect is that I've actually received some of the works back in my possession-the ones they weren't interested in. I just hated to see them go to waste...so finally I can show them to you and even offer a few for sale in my Etsy shop! So, all is not lost and I can honestly say I learned a lot!! xox

aw, thanks! Andrea- none of them were produced. The company was purchased by another one-and I think my project was scrapped due to circumstances surrounding those changes. xo
i love them! i was just thinking about that project and wondering when they were coming out.....there's a better opportunity waiting i'm sure of it.
the candles are my favorite. i always loved window candles growing up and your take on them is awesome.
i love your work so much! it really gets me motivated to get into my own studio.
bummer about them not going through with making these, but your work is still fantastic! Your bell jars especially blow me away.
I remember when you were working on all of it and I eagerly awaited their debut at the gift show only to be disappointed. While I know you would have been catapulted into another arena, I'm glad to know your hands have touched each and every creation you offer your friends & fans.

These are amazing pieces. I love them all- thanks too for sharing a bit about your experience. I don't understand why this didn't work out but I know it's totally and absolutely NOT because of your work. It's fabulous! Ps- I've had things fall through before and been bummed but then later something new happens and I'm so grateful the first thing didn't. :)
